Drew Powell '98 to Serve Up Laughs on NBC's The Office

October 22, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - When characters from NBC's The Office visit a bar in this Thursday's episode, they'll be served by Drew Powell, a 1998 graduate of DePauw University. Powell's latest acting role has him playing a bartender on the show that stars Steve Carell and Jenna Fischer. It can be seen at 9 p.m. on October 25.

"It was great fun and very hard to keep a straight face with those guys," reports Powell.

A Media Fellow at DePauw, where he was an English (literature) major, Drew Powell was recently featured in the motion pictures 1408 (which starred John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson) and The Marine. Other roles include a featured part in the PAX show The Ponderosa, and he was a recurring character in the FOX series Malcolm in the Middle. Powell also appeared on CBS' Cold Case.
