DePauw Takes Three of Four Matches at SCAC Divisional

October 21, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw won three of its four matches at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Divisional and improved to 22-10 overall and 8-6 in the SCAC.
In its first match of the weekend, DePauw dropped a 3-0 (19-30, 26-30, 17-30) decision to Birmingham-Southern and were led by Loren Sloan's 10 kills and Emily Smith's 20 digs.
The Tigers then topped Rhodes 3-1 (30-25, 30-27, 25-30, 30-25). In that match Kim Hamer paced the Tigers with 24 kills, while Emily Smith recorded 29 digs. Sarah Drew had 51 assists, while Hamer and Adrienne Cobb each had five blocks.
On Sunday, DePauw picked up a pair of 3-0 wins as it defeated Millsaps 30-13, 30-17, 30-20 and then topped Sewanee 30-8, 30-9, 30-10. Against Millsaps Kim Hamer led the way with eight kills and five blocks, while Srah Drew had 26 assists and Dana Genet totaled 12 digs.
In the victory over Sewanee, Erin Cunningham led with eight kills. Ali Smith totaled 18 assists with Kristen Chynoweth totaling four aces and Mallory Kraly finishing with five digs.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 27, when it hosts Millikin at 11 a.m. and Mount St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m.
