Prof. Jeff Schmuki Awarded Pollock-Krasner Grant

Schmuki, visiting associate professor of art at DePauw University, is the recipient of a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation for his ceramic works based on landscape and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The award is among 148 totaling $3,071,000 in Pollock-Krasner Grants being made to visual artists internationally in support of studio work, exhibition preparation, and other professional expenses.

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation was established in 1985 to assist individual working artists of merit with financial need through the generosity of Lee Krasner (1908-1984), a leading abstract expressionist painter and widow of Jackson Pollock.
