schott112806.jpgNovember 1, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - "The Indiana State men’s basketball team finally gets to see a different uniform on its floor tonight when DePauw visits for the season-opening exhibition game at Hulman Center," begins a story in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star. "Division III DePauw was 22-6 last season and returns two starters -- guard Mike Moore and big man Stephen Schott," writes Todd Golden of the game that tips off at 7 p.m. at Hulman Center.

"The Tigers were once a twice-yearly ISU foe, both having been members of the old Indiana Intercollegiate Conference," Golden notes. "DePauw actually leads the regular season series 39-33, but the teams haven’t played a game that counts since the 1968-69 season."

“I don’t know anything about DePauw, but I do know [DePauw] coach [Bill] Fenlon, he’s a good guy, he’s been a friend for a long time," says ISU's new head coach Kevin McKenna. "He was at Northwestern when I visited there as a player and we’ve kept in touch.”
