DePauw Places Three on All-SCAC Team; Harris Named Newcomer of the Year

msocc090906.jpgNovember 15, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - In voting by the conference's head coaches, DePauw placed three players on the all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer team.

Senior midfielder Jeremy Rielley (pictured) shared the voting lead and earned a spot on the first team, while junior transfer and forward/midfielder Mike Harris was a second team choice and named Newcomer of the Year. Senior defender Nick Dascoli earned a spot on the third team.

Rielley, a first team selection last year and a third team choice in 2005, led the 12-5-1 Tigers with 12 goals and shared the team lead with five assists for a team-best 29 points. Harris tied for second with seven goals and shared the lead with five assists. Dascoli anchored a defense that allowed just 19 goals in 18 games and recorded six shutouts.
