DSC_0662.jpgNovember 18, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - "One day after knocking off top-ranked Washington (Mo.), the No. 16-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women’s basketball team fell short against the No. 2-ranked team," reports Illinois' Bloomington Pantagraph. "DePauw held off a furious second-half rally by the Titans to claim a 77-66 victory Saturday" in the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tipoff Tournament at DePauw's Lilly Center. The win hikes the Tigers' record to 2-0, while IWU falls to 1-1.

"Cassie Pruzin led four DePauw players in double figures with 17 points and she also handed out seven assists," notes the newspaper. "DePauw outrebounded IWU 42-21, including a 32-16 edge on the offensive glass."

"They are probably the most physical team we will face all year,” IWU coach Mia Smith tells the Pantagraph. “We were beaten by a good team, but we also think we’re a good team. This game will only make us better.”
