Bill Ries '71 Named Interim CEO of Hospice of Northeastern Illinois

Bill Ries.jpgDecember 17, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - William G. Ries, a 1971 graduate of DePauw University, has been appointed interim president and CEO of Hospice of Northeastern Illinois. Ries "has more than 30 years experience in hospital administration, including 20 years as president and CEO of Lake Forest Hospital," reports the Kane County Chronicle.

"I'm delighted to be on the job," Ries tells the newspaper. "When I learned of this opportunity, it seemed like a natural fit for me. I'm certainly familiar with the work."

health.gifThe article notes that he has a degree in economics from DePauw and a a master's in hospital and health services adminstration fromCornell University. "As interim president and CEO of the hospice group, Ries will be responsible for setting strategies, reporting to the board of directors, and working with physicians and caregivers," adds the text. "Hospice of Northeastern Illinois is a nonprofit organization serving families throughout McHenry, Lake, Cook, Kane, Boone and DuPage counties."
