Entitled "From the Boulder to Beijing and Back...," the performance is free and open to the public.

Included in the program are two Ascension motets separated by four centuries, two lamentsfrom Spain and Italy, a medieval chant on the "Magnificat" text juxtaposed with a modern version constructed out of folk melodies from West Africa, and Chinese and American interpretations of a train in motion.

Green Center Dusk.jpgThe Chamber Singers recently completed a concert tour of China, in which they traveled through Beijing, Wuhan, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Shanghai before returning to campus on January 23.

"After performing to full houses in Beijing and Shanghai, we are thrilled to be bringing our music back home," says Professor Gabriel Crouch, director of DePauw Choirs.
