March 7, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - "Defending national champion DePauw opens the women's Division III NCAA Tournament tonight at home," reports this morning's Indianapolis Star. "The No. 7 Tigers (25-3) are in the tournament for the fifth year in a row and sixth time in the past seven years. They play Denison (18-10) at 7."
Jeff Rabjohns' "On Campus" column adds, "Second-round games will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at DePauw. Coach Kris Huffman's squad won the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference for the third year in a row."
Tickets are available at the gate beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday for the first round game and at 6 p.m. on Saturday for the second round contest. You can listen to the action live on student radio station WGRE (91.5 FM or via this link).

The Star column also reports, "The University of Indianapolis will have a new men's basketball coach next year. Royce Waltman, who coached this year on an interim basis when Todd Sturgeon ['88] resigned in October, will not be retained." Waltman "led DePauw to the Division III NCAA Tournament and Indiana State to the NCAA Tournament in 21 years as a head coach."
