Jim Newman '70 Appointed VP at EagleBank

April 3, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - James R. Newman, a 1970 graduate of DePauw University, has joined EagleBank (Nasdaq: EGBN) as vice president/credit department manager. The department provides financial analysis support for the bank's loan officers. Newman comes to his new role from LaSalle Bank, where he was first vice president/credit manager.

Newman has also served as vice president/credit manager for General
Electric Capital Corporation, and worked with Bank of New England, which was acquired by Bank of America.
An announcement notes Newman's DePauw degree and that he is "an avid tennis player, volunteers at the Kennedy Center, and is a Higher Achievement Program mentor."
