David English '72 to Lead United Way of Putnam County

David English.jpgApril 14, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - David L. English, a 1972 graduate of DePauw University, has been named executive director of United Way of Putnam County. "He has been in the field of social service for 35 years with the last 17 spent working for a non-profit licensed child-placing agency," notes a story in today's Banner-Graphic of Greencastle.

The newspaper refers to English's DePauw degree and the masters of arts he earned at the University of Indianapolis. "His work history includes more than 25 years as a counselor, including private practice and in residential facilities, stints as a juvenile probation officer, family case manager for what is now the Division of Child Services and the first director of the Putnam County Court Substance Abuse Treatment Program."
