Anne Keller '96 Appointed Communications Director for American Feed Industry Association

Keller, a 1996 graduate of DePauw University, will become director of communications for the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), effective June 9. In her new role, Keller will oversee the association's publications, press announcements and media relations and work to build awareness of the feed industry's contributions to food safety, nutrition, and consumer confidence.

Keller, who was an English writing major at DePauw, "has gained knowledge and experience on agricultural issues in her previous positions, most recently serving as director, issues management and news services for the American Farm Bureau Federation," notes an announcement from AFIA. "Prior to that position, she spent five years on Capitol Hill as the press and communications director for Congressman Charlie Stenholm of Texas, and was the senior legislative assistant focused on agricultural issues for Congressman Baron Hill of Indiana. Her experience in communications also includes news coverage of Washington politics as a freelance researcher and field producer for CNN."
