Brian Webb '01 Named Head Girl's Cross Country Coach at Suburban Chicago HS

Webb, a 2001 graduate of DePauw University, has been appointed head girl's cross country coach and assistant girl's track coach at Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He comes to the post from Wheaton Warrenville South H.S., where he held assistant positions in girls track and cross country and taught in the special education department.

An item in the Chicago Daily Herald notes, "A two-year team captain at DePauw University, Webb also coached at Hopkins (Minn.) High School. He led both the boys and girls cross country teams to state titles in 2002. According to Glenbard South athletic director John Treiber, in Webb's tenure at Hopkins he produced four individual state champions and 15 all-state runners, and his teams set eight school records."
