Rematch with Wabash Ends in 26-11 DePauw Triumph

November 12, 1900

Herbert McIntyre 1900.jpgNovember 12, 1900, Greencastle, Ind. - The home crowd at DePauw University's McKeen Field had plenty to cheer about this afternoon as their football team caged the visiting squad from Wabash College, 26-11. Coach Herbert J. McIntire (pictured at left) and his men avenged a 6-0 loss at Wabash on October 6.

DePauw took a 16-5 advantage to halftime. Today's game was called with about 12 minutes remaining in the second half because of darkness. The Palladium reports that "DePauw easily outplayed them" and that about 60 Wabash students accompanied the team to cheer them along today.

DePauw is now 4-4-2 on the season.
