Tigers and Comets Battle to Tie

September 7, 2008, Granville, Ohio - Mike Harris scored a pair of first-half goals, but Olivet knotted the scored in the second half and the teams battled through two scoreless overtime periods in a 2-2 tie. DePauw is now 2-0-1 on the season, while the Comets are 0-3-1.
Olivet took a 1-0 lead on Mike May's unassisted goal at 14:02 before Harris scored, also unassisted, at 15:45. Harris added his second score on an assist from Beau Sorg at 21:43 and DePauw took a 2-1 lead into the half.
Corey Evans forced the overtime with a goal at 60:09 which was assisted by May and Andrew Evans.
DePauw outshot Olivet, 14-10, and held a 9-8 edge in corners. Ted Jacobi recorded four saves for the Tigers, while Olivet's Ethan Felsing had six.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, September 13, when they host Ohio Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m.Back
