December 7, 2008
December 7, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. — "Consumers are bombarded by information every day and are looking for trusted filters," Angie's List co-founder Angie Hicks tells the New York Times. A 1995 graduate of DePauw University, Hicks is cited in a story examining online sites -- including hers -- which provide ratings of real estate brokers.
"Angie's List, a 13-year-old Web business that allows users to post reviews of professionals ranging from plumbers to doctors, added brokers to its stable two years ago," writes C.J. Hughes. "The list, which charges users $6 a year, now has critiques of 3,500 brokers in 120 cities."
