Brad Stevens '99 is Sportswriter's Choice for 2008 'Coach of the Year'

Benner cites Stevens, a 1999 graduate of DePauw University, as the "Coach of the Year" in a year-end summary of local sports highlights.

Stevens' Bulldog team is off to a 9-1 start. An economics major and Management Fellow as an undergraduate, he led Brad Stevens News Conf.jpgButler to a school- and Horizon League-record 30-4 mark in his first year as head coach last season.

The Indianapolis Star noted that Stevens and DePauw head football and baseball coach Matt Walker '99 were roommates at the University in an article published a day after Walker's Tigers topped Wabash, 36-14, in the 115th Monon Bell Classic. Read more here.
