Centre Tops Trine in Hasbrook Opener

December 28, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. — Lauren Huter scored 15 and grabbed seven rebounds, while Maggie Prewitt added 10 points in leading Centre to a 48-37 win over Trine in the opening game of the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Classic.
Centre took a 22-13 lead into the halftime and led by as many as 15 midway through the second half. The Colonels improved to 6-4 with the win, while the Thunder dropped to 5-6. Sarah Howe paced Trine with 11 points and four assists.
The Colonels face Spalding on Monday at 2 p.m., while Trine tangles with DePauw at 4 p.m.
