Prof. Diana Nixon to Perform Sunday in Wabash, IN

January 5, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — "A former Wabash resident and current professor of clarinet at DePauw University will present a program of Spanish and Latin American music for clarinet at 2 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Honeywell House," begins an item in Indiana's Wabash Plain Dealer. "Diana Nixon, is a candidate for a doctorate in music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She has studied Spanish and Latin American music for the clarinet, having completed two compilations for the Jacobs School of Music Latin American Music Center. She spent a summer in Spain, researching clarinet performance at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid."
The text continues, "Nixon performs in several orchestras in the Bloomington area, including the IU Festival Orchestra, Bloomington Camerata, Bloomington Pops, Columbus (Ind.) Philharmonic, and the IU Philharmonic, playing soprano and bass clarinets."
