Sophomore Entrepreneur Wins National Contest

November 25, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw University sophomore Rhonesha Byng is the winner of the By Kids For Kids® (BKFK) "Unleash Your Locker Challenge." Presented as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the contest was open to young entrepreneurs between the ages of 5 and 23 in the United States and Canada. Byng was honored for her social entrepreneurship Web portal, HerAgenda.com.
"Rhonesha’s well conceived and developed BETA Web site, HerAgenda.com, encourages women to never lose site of their dreams," notes an announcement. "Inspired by Rhonesha’s own personal philosophy, 'No one ever slows her agenda,' a comment on her own personal ambition and drive, HerAgenda.com will feature 30 bloggers from a wide range of occupations and will also encourage mentorship between successful women and those just starting out."
For winning the contest, Byng receives a $500 prize "and will receive a one day expense-paid visit to an innovative company linked to her passions and interests."
