Softball Team Ranked #3 in Preseason Poll

February 7, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — In a D3softball.com preseason poll, "DePauw was ranked No. 3," reports the Town Talk of Alexandria, Virginia. "Balloting for the poll was conducted by 16 -- no more than one from any conference -- sports information directors," notes the newspaper. Louisiana College is #1 in the survey.

DePauw is coming off a 40-4 season in which the Tigers earned their first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title and and appeared at their second consecutive NCAA Division III 
championships. The team opens its 2009 season February 28 at Centre College versus Maryville.
