12th-ranked Tigers Drop Close Decision to 16th-ranked Bears

February 15, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. —  DePauw, ranked 12th in Division III, dropped to 2-1 on the season following a 5-4 loss to 16th-ranked Washington University.

The Bears took a 2-1 advantage after winning at number two and three doubles. The Tigers claimed victories at one, two and six singles. Three of the singles matches were decided in three sets with Washington claiming victories in two.

DePauw returns to action on Friday, February 27, when it competes in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Championships at Gustavus Adolphus College in St, Peter, Minn.
