Tigers Look to Extend 17-Game Baseball Winning Streak vs. Wabash
April 1, 2009
April 1, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — "The Little Giants have lost 17 straight games to the Tigers," notes the Crawfordsville Journal Review in a preview of today's baseball contest between DePauw University and Wabash College. "Wabash hasn’t defeated DePauw since April 27, 1999." The game is set for 4:30 p.m. at Wabash's Mud Hollow Field.
"They have a successful program, they always have been," Wabash coach Cory Stevens tells the newspaper. "We have a tremendous amount of respect for DePauw baseball."
Matt Wilson writes, "DePauw comes into today with a 13-9 record. The Tigers had their five-game winning streak snapped with Sunday’s 10-9 loss at Sewanee. DePauw is in second place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference East Division standings with a 4-2 mark."
