13th-ranked Tigers Travel to St. Louis for NCAA Men's Tennis Play

DePauwMensTennisChamps09.jpgMay 4, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — The 21-3 and 13th-ranked DePauw men's tennis team opens NCAA Division III play at Washington University with a second-round match on Saturday, May 9, against 18-9 Grinnell College.

Carthage (17-6) and Westminster, Mo. (13-6) play on Friday and that winner takes on second-ranked Washington (19-2) on Saturday.

Saturday's winners meet in Sunday's third-round for the right to compete in the national quarterfinals at Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges on May 19.

The Tigers earned automatic qualification into the 41-team field by winning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

DePauw is making its 15th appearance in the Division III Championships and 11th straight dating back to 1999.
