June 18, 2009
June 18, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Joel D. Hand, a 1992 graduate of DePauw University, has been appointed deputy prosecutor in Carroll County, Indiana. "I love prosecution," he tells the Carroll County Comet. "It is my calling in life."
Debbie Lowe writes that Hand "has been employed as a prosecutor in Hendricks and Marion counties, by the Indiana Prosecutors' Attorney Council, the Indiana Department of Education, and in private practice. The married father of one said he has prosecuted a death penalty case and considers himself an expert in traffic law. He said he has met most of the local police officers and finds them all to be hard-working, dedicated and friendly."
After graduating from DePauw, Hand earned his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law.
