Sue Hacker Nelson '89 is Prevail's New Director of Development

Sue Hacker Nelson sm.jpgJuly 10, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — "Sue Hacker Nelson has been named director of development at Prevail, Inc., a victim awareness and support program serving Hamilton County," reports the Indianapolis Star of the 1989 DePauw University graduate. "In her new role, Hacker Nelson will be responsible for the organization's charitable giving and fundraising efforts."

The article notes, "Hacker Nelson has spent her career in the not-for-profit sector." Her résumé includes serving as managing partner for Loring Sternberg & Associates, a fundraising consulting firm; working as director of development for Noble of Indiana and director of development and public relations for both the International School of Indiana and Young Audiences of Indiana. "A former President of Indiana's chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, she was awarded the chapter's President's Award for professionalism and enthusiasm in encouraging philanthropy throughout Indiana in 1999. A past co-chair of both the Indiana Philanthropy Awards Banquet and Indiana Fund Raising Day, Hacker Nelson holds a B.A. from DePauw University, and she received her Certified Fund Raising Executive designation in 1999."
