thomas fitzpatrick 3.jpgMay 23, 1975, Greencastle, Ind. — The Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, Colorado, today announced the appointment of Thomas Fitzpatrick as its summer organizational director. Fitzpatrick is associate professor of voice and director of opera at the DePauw University School of Music.

During the two month camp, Fitzpatrick will handle the general direction of the Center and its choral program and also participate in performances and applied vocal instruction.

Founded 33 years ago, Rocky Ridge's curriculum is designed to expose high school and college students to an intense and creative experience in music. The primary aim of the summer Old DePauw Gold EC Logo.jpgprogram is personal achievement, but courses are also offered in theory and sight singing, orchestra, chorale, and music literature which afford young musicians opportunities to develop the basic disciplines of the music profession.

Fitzpatrick will return to his regular teaching duties at DePauw in the fall.
