#22 Ranked Women's Cross Country Team Wins Gibson Invitational

October 11, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw University's women won yesterday's Gibson Family Invitational cross country meet. The event which was co-hosted by DePauw and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, took place at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute.
"The meet was one of the Midwest's largest college meets with 26 institutions and more than 500 runners," notes today's Terre Haute Tribune-Star. "Nationally ranked women’s teams that competed included Washington University (No. 3 in Division III) and DePauw (No. 22 in Division III)."
DePauw's women won with a team score of 61. Hope College
(81) finished second, with Rhodes (84) third. Lauren Reich's first-place finish (22:19) in the women’s 6,000-meter race led the Tigers.
Among the men, DePauw finished fifth with 122 points. Heidelberg won with a score of 78.
