TV Station On Hand as Tigers Fall to D-I Butler in Men's Basketball Exhibition

depauw butler 2009 wish.jpgNovember 1, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — The nationally-ranked Division I men's basketball team from Butler University gave Division III DePauw more than the visitors could handle, as the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers, 77-45, at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis tonight. A preview piece in this morning's Indianapolis Star noted, "The 11th-ranked Bulldogs will play their first exhibition game at 7 o'clock tonight against DePauw at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Butler coach Brad Stevens played for the NCAA Division III university under DePauw DePauw Pennant sm gold.jpgcoach Bill Fenlon." A 1999 graduate of DePauw, Stevens was a four-year letterman for the Tigers from 1995-99.

DePauw opens regular season play on Friday, November 20, when it faces Bluffton at the Albion College Tipoff Tournament.
