Michael Lindsey '08 Joins Faculty of India's KM Music Conservatory

Green Center 2008 Snow 1.jpgJanuary 3, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Michael P. Lindsey, a 2008 graduate of DePauw University, has joined the faculty of the KM Music Conservatory in India. Lindsey, a percussionist, teaches Western music theory and jazz history at KM besides heading the percussion studio.

The conservatory was founded by Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire). It "envisions expanding the horizon of musicians in India by offering education in both Indian and Western music besides music technology and its mission is to provide students with a strong artistic, intellectual, and technical foundation," notes an announcement.

Lindsey double majored in music performance and classical civilization at DePauw.
