WBBM's Rob Johnson '90 Quoted in Chicago Sun-Times

January 6, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "I think what we are doing in the station's news department is resonating with viewers, and we want to continue to try and stand apart from our competition in the way we present the news," Rob Johnson, evening news anchor for Chicago CBS station WBBM-TV tells the Chicago Sun-Times. Johnson, a 1990 graduate of DePauw University, is among a number of Chicago broadcast journalists who offer their thoughts on the new year.
"Just about everyone in the Chicago broadcasting industry agrees they are happy to see a new year replace a very difficult 2009," writes Lewis Lazare. "But we wondered what will be some of the things to watch for in 2010. Here are what some local broadcasters told us to expect."

An Emmy Award-winning journalist, Rob Johnson majored in communication at DePauw. Before moving to Chicago in 1998, he worked at KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas as an anchor and reporter (1995-98). Previously, Johnson worked as the lead anchor at KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas; anchor and reporter at KLFY in Lafayette, Louisiana (1992-94); and at KALB in Alexandria, Louisiana (1990-92).
