24th-ranked Women Extend Win Streak to 13 with Win at Colorado College

January 30, 2010, Colorado Springs, Colo. — The 24th-ranked Tigers improved to 17-3 overall and 10-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference following an 81-66 win at Colorado College. The hosts dropped to 11-8 overall and 5-6 in the SCAC.
Colorado College led by four points on two occasions during the first half, but an 8-0 DePauw run gave them a four-point lead. A 9-1 DePauw stretch later in the first half pushed the Tigers to an 18-point lead on the way to a 51-38 halftime advantage. Colorado College got no closer than 10 in the second half.
Jenna Fernandez led DePauw with 13 points, while Katie Mathews followed with 10 and Emily Marshall grabbed nine rebounds. Kate Walker dished out four assists. The Tigers held a 39-38 edge on the boards.
Collier Clegg led Colorado College with 20 points, while Becky Luetjen and Alyssa Aldaz each scored 12. Luetjen grabbed nine rebounds and Emily Wattman-Turner dished out four assists.
DePauw shot 47.8 percent from the floor to Colorado College's 41.5 percent, but the visiting Tigers committed just nine turnovers.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, February 6, when they host Centre at 1 p.m.
