Prof. Bob Steele '69 to Speak in South Bend February 26

February 9, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — At a February 26 event in northern Indiana, "The speakers will be journalism professors N. Don Wycliff of Loyola University Chicago and Robert Steele of DePauw University and the Poynter Institute," reports today's South Bend Tribune. The two professors will discuss "The Impact of the Media on Public Opinion" at South Bend's Charles Martin Youth Center, 802 Lincoln Way West. "The event is hosted by the Tribune, the Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation and the South Bend Heritage Foundation."

A 1969 graduate of DePauw, Robert M. Steele is Eugene S. Pulliam Distinguished Visiting Professor of Journalism and directs the University's Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics. He was recently cited in articles by the Los Angeles Times, New York Times and Philadelphia Inquirer.
