University Band Performs at 3 p.m. Sunday

February 23, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — The 2009-10 DePauw University Band will present a concert on Sunday afternoon, February 28, at 3 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium of the Judson and Joyce Green Center for the Performing Arts. The performance is presented free of charge and open to the public.
The University Band will present an array of works, including Celebration Fanfare and Fascinating Ribbons by Music of the 21st Century guest composer Joan Tower. Other works include
Preludio by Jean Sibelius, Old Wine In New Bottles by Gordon Jacob, and Polka and Fuge by Jaromir Weinberger. The concert will also feature Carla Edwards, professor of music and University organist.
