Jimmy Ibbotson '69 Helps Raise $55K for Children of Haiti

Jimmy Ibbotson Mandola.jpgFebruary 12, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Jimmy Ibbotson, former longtime member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and 1969 graduate of DePauw University, was among "several Aspen legends" who performed in a benefit concert last night for the children of earthquake ravaged Haiti, reports the Aspen Times. John Oates of Hall & Oates also played at the show, which took place at the Wheeler Opera House.

About $55,000 was raised and all proceeds from the 7 p.m. event will benefit the Mercy & Sharing Foundation.
