Poet & Prof. Crystal Williams to Present April 28 Reading

Crystal Williams Apr2010.JPGApril 8, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw University's James and Marilou Kelly Writers Series hosts a reading by poet Crystal Williams, who is currently serving as Mary R. Field Distinguished Visiting Professor of Creative Writing.  The event is set for Wednesday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Richard E. Peeler Art Center. The program is presented free of admission charge and is open to the public.

Called "a passionate, accomplished poet" by Book Review, Williams is the author of three books, Kin, Lunatic, and Troubled Tongues, which won the crystal williams lunatic.gifNaomi Long Madgett Poetry Award.

An associate professor at Reed College in Oregon, Williams received her B.A. from New York University and her M.F.A. from Cornell University. Her work has also appeared in the American Poetry Review, Court Green, and Callaloo.
