May 1, 2010

Setchell_Steve.JPGMay 1, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "Buying locally, especially at locally owned businesses, is one of the best things each of us can do to raise the quality of life for all in our community," Steve Setchell, chair of the Greencastle Sustainability Commission, tells the Banner-Graphic. Setchell, major gifts officer at DePauw and 1996 graduate of the University, is quoted in an article detailing a campaign by the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce to encourage people to buy goods that are made and/or sold locally.

"Its plans are to distribute educational information, airing public service announcements on the radio and public access television," writes Shannen Hayes. "Plans also include signage and hosting a Web page devoted to the benefits of keeping it 'Green in Greencastle.'"
