Butler Coach Brad Stevens '99 Signs with IMG Worldwide

Brad Stevens McD 2010-3.JPGJune 4, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Brad Stevens, head men's basketball coach at Butler University and 1999 graduate of DePauw University, has signed with IMG Worldwide for exclusive management in all business areas including licensing, literary, speaking, broadcasting and marketing representation. The 33-year-old Stevens, who was an economics major and Management Fellow at DePauw, led Butler to a national runner-up finish in the NCAA Tournament this year.

"Since 2007 the Bulldogs have recorded 89 wins, breaking the previous three-year NCAA Division I record of 81 wins held previously by Mark Few of Gonzaga and Mark Fox of Nevada," notes IMG's announcement. "During his past three years as coach, Stevens has been awarded two consecutive Horizon League Coach of the Year awards, named NABC All-District 12 Coach and was a finalist for numerous other national coaching awards. He also became the third-youngest Division I coach to guide his team to 30 wins and has moved into seventh place on Butler's all-time list Brad Stevens 2010is.jpgfor coaching victories."

It adds, "Stevens earned a B.A. degree in economics from DePauw in 1999, where he earned all conference and academic all conference honors all four years. He was the team captain and was awarded the team's 'Coaches Award' his senior year."
