Local Fundraiser to Include Many Participants from DePauw

August 28, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — G. Duane Skoog, technical director for DePauw University's Green Center for the Performing Arts, will produce a 1940s-style radio show for a September 11 Greencastle fundraiser. "The 'Dixie Chopper Radio Hour' will feature local notables, including Putnam County favorites Larry Sutton, Amy and Andrew Hayes, Caroline Good, Barbara Paré, Keith Tonne, Susan Anthony, the Covered Bridge Chorus, along with DePauwcappella and other DePauw University talent," notes the Banner-Graphic.
Good, Paré, Tonne, Anthony and Andrew Hayes are all current members of the DePauw faculty; Sutton is professor emeritus of communication. Skoog also serves as president of Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) chapter No. 1374.
"Net proceeds from the evening will be divided between the EAA Chapter No. 1374 Young Eagles Program and the USO for its ongoing efforts to entertain our troops. The Command Performance is a new addition to the annual Putnam County Airport Appreciation Days, scheduled for Sept. 11-12."
The event will take place at the Putnam County Airport's Dixie Chopper Business Center.
