Nikki Davis 2010.jpgSeptember 11, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "Nikki Davis, 32, has truly taken to heart advice that her father, Dr. Thomas Warner, once gave her," notes the Evansville Courier & Press. "He told her, 'Whatever you do, make a difference.' Today, Davis' efforts as both a professional and a community volunteer are making a difference on a variety of fronts," states the newspaper, which has named the 1999 DePauw University graduate one of its "20 Under 40" community leaders.

"Today, Davis' efforts as both a professional and a community volunteer are making a difference on a variety of fronts," writes Carol Wersich. "For example, as the owner of a small business -- Davis Digital Photography -- she realizes how important networking is to growing a business. Last year, she started the Evansville Wedding Vendor Networking Association to help grow her own business and the businesses of other entrepreneurs. The network, which includes around 65 members, provides businesses with opportunities to network and build referrals."

Nikki (Warner) Davis also produces Evansville's annual Contemporary Bride Expo and gives proceeds to an advocacy center for victims of sexual abuse. She is the marketing and public relations director for S.M.I.L.E. on Down Syndrome; owns EvansvilleBrideGuide.com; offers photography workshops to Girl Scouts; authored a book, LGL_6366.jpgEvery Child is Beautiful, which benefits Easter Seals of Southwestern Indiana; is active in the local Junior League; and has a full-time job at a marketing research firm.  And that's on top of being married with two children.

"I just like staying busy, and I like being involved in the community," Davis says. "That is what motivates me and keeps me going."

The article points out that "Davis received a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from DePauw University in 1999, and a bachelor's degree in public relations and advertising from the University of Southern Indiana in 2006."
