Newspaper Previews Tomorrow's DePauw-Centre Football Clash
September 17, 2010
September 17, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "DePauw doesn't have all-everything quarterback Spud Dick anymore, but Centre College coach Andy Frye knows plenty about his backup, Michael Engle," begins a story in today's edition of Kentucky's Danville Advocate-Messenger. The newspaper provides a preview of tomorrow's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference football game between DePauw and Centre.
"He basically was the one who gave them momentum last year when he came in for Spud in the second half when he got hurt," Frye says of Engle, recalling last year's matchup. " He came in and led them on three scoring drives (with two touchdown passes in a 34-24 Centre win). He's a good quarterback. The only thing he lacks is experience."
Hal Morris writes, "Engle, a senior, was 26 for 36 for 300 yards and six touchdowns last week as the Tigers, who were co-conference champions last season, opened with a 45-16 win over Rose-Hulman. He was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's offensive player of the week."

Kickoff tomorrow is set for 7:30 p.m. You can follow the action on student radio station WGRE (91.5 FM or via this link).
