October 4, 2010
October 4, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "An ankle injury in high school helped pave Nichole Wilson's career path," notes the Indianapolis Star in its "Rising Star" feature. "Wilson, now the director of rehab and sports medicine at Community Hospital Network, failed to follow her doctor's orders and later found herself needing ankle reconstruction surgery. At the time of her surgery, Wilson was in the sports medicine program at DePauw University. She took what she was learning in class and developed her own physical therapy and rehabilitation program, turning her injury into a physical therapy career. She has gone from front office clerk to physical therapy technician to therapist, and now director."
Dr. Wilson, a 1999 graduate of DePauw, tells the newspaper,"Being under people who aren't afraid to let you shine was a blessing."
