October 7, 2010
October 7, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "Former foes are now teammates and helping the DePauw University volleyball program," begins a story published in today's Lafayette Journal & Courier. The Indiana newspaper's Sam King writes, "Kristen
Chynoweth (Frankfort), Paige Thompson (Crawfordsville) and Tori
Bowerman (North Montgomery) all competed against each other in the
Sagamore Conference during their high school careers. Last
weekend, they helped the Tigers, who compete in NCAA Division III
athletics, to four victories, improving the team's record to 14-8." (pictured: Kristen

The text continues, "Chynoweth,
a senior, was outstanding with 34 kills and just four errors in a
four-match span where she hit .455. Chynoweth is hitting .315 for the
season. Thompson, a
junior, has 153 kills in 22 matches and boasts one of the team's highest serve percentages. In limited playing time Bowerman, a freshman, has served five aces and has 53 digs in just 32 sets."
