Community and Campus Present Joint Concert Saturday Afternoon

October 31, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — A concert on Saturday, November 6, will bring together members of the Greencastle community with faculty and students of DePauw University. Part of "ArtsFest 2010: Art and the Green Castle," the program, "Opening Doors: Sharing Music Among Communities," will take place at 4 p.m. in Meharry Hall of historic East College. The performance is presented free of admission charge.
Saturday's program will feature performers from the Greencastle community as well as DePauw's School of Music and will highlight young musicians ranging from elementary through college age. Teachers Maureen Carkeek, Renata Dworak, Darcy McCoy, Barbara Paré, and Lauren Taylor will have students presenting a variety of piano and vocal pieces. Students featured in the performance are: Addison Hughes, voice and piano; Julian Anderson, piano; Madeline Graham, piano; Scott Meyers, piano; Fiona Good, piano; Emma Newton, piano; Reba Chapple, mezzo-soprano; Nicolette Peters, piano; Taylor Badten, soprano; Alison Howard, mezzo-soprano; and Theresa Noble, soprano.
