Tigers Host Trine Tomorrow in Blackstock Stadium's First-Ever Playoff Game

86244November 19, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — "Trine is in the NCAA Division III playoffs for the third straight year after going unbeaten for the second time in three years and winning the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title for the third straight year," notes today's Fort Wayne Journal Gazette in a preview of tomorrow's playoff game between Trine and DePauw University. "DePauw reached the playoffs for the second straight season by winning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title, winning nine straight games before losing 47-0 to Wabash last week in the Monon Bell game."

The newspaper adds, "The contest will pit two prolific quarterbacks in Trine’s Eric Watt and DePauw’s Michael Engle, who’s thrown for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns."

Kickoff for tomorrow's contest at Blackstock Stadium is noon (EST). Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students, seniors and children ages 2 and older. The gates open at 10:30 a.m. and kickoff is set for noon. DePauw students will be admitted at no charge by showing their DePauw IDs. The DePauw athletic department is covering the cost of the student admissions.
