Aldrich Named SCAC Player of the Week

January 20, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Coming off a career-high 32 points in Sunday's win over Hendrix, DePauw junior forward Katie Aldrich has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week. Aldrich shared the honor with Trinity's Abby Dietert.
The Tigers picked up a 71-41 home win over Millsaps and an 85-68 victory over Hendrix and Aldrich averaged 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while connecting on 17-of-26 (65.4%) from the field. She also had a pair of steals and a block. In Sunday's win over Hendrix, Aldrich's 32 points matched the second-highest single-game point total in school history.
For the season Aldrich is shooting a league best 52.7% from the field and is averaging 12.6 points and 5.9 rebounds a contest.
DePauw takes a 9-game win streak into Friday's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference game at Trinity. The Tigers are 14-2 overall and 7-0 in the SCAC and have won 21 straight conference games.Back
