Prof. John Kaemmer Named Chair of Sociology & Anthropology Dept.

90530June 23, 1980, Greencastle, Ind. — John E. Kaemmer, professor of anthropology at DePauw, has been named chairman of the University's sociology and anthropology.  Announcement of the appointment was made this week by Dr. Richard F. Rosser, president of the private liberal arts college of 2,350 students.

Dr. Kaemmer has been a member of the DePauw faculty since 1975.  He earned a bachelor's degree in music from Willamette Univerity, attended the Boston University School of Theology, earned an M.A. from Scarritt College, an M.Div. from Garrett Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Indiana University - Bloomington.
