#11 DePauw Improves to 22-3 and Finishes SCAC Regular Season Play at 15-1

February 20, 2011, Memphis, Tenn. — DePauw improved to 22-3 overall and finished Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season play at 15-1 following a 75-46 win at Rhodes. The Lynx dropped to 9-15 overall and 6-10 in the SCAC. The win was the Tigers' eighth straight and 17th in the last 18 contests.
DePauw, ranked 11th in the latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll and 12th by D3hoops.com, led 11-10 with just over nine minutes left in the first half and went on a 16-3 run to grab a 14-point advantage. The Tigers went to the break with a 36-21 lead.
Rhodes pulled to within 12 early in the second half, but the Tigers scored the next nine to take a 45-26 lead with 16 minutes remaining. That lead reached as many as 34 points in the final three minutes.
Katie Aldrich led the Tigers with 15 points followed by Lauren Goff with 14 and Ellie Pearson with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Sharwil Bell paced the Lynx with 14 points and six rebounds with Sarah Womack adding 12 points and Jaime Maxey following with 11.
DePauw shot 47.1 percent from the floor and knocked in 7-of-18 three-pointers, while Rhodes hit 32.0 percent from the floor. The Tigers also held a 40-22 edge on the boards.
The Tigers begin defense of their 2010 SCAC title on Friday, February 25, when they face Colorado College at 3 p.m. CST at Millsaps College. Full tournament details will be posted later.
