Women's Golfers Ranked Second in First Spring Poll

February 23, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw picked up four first-place votes, totaled 503 points and is ranked second in the spring's first Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association Division III Coaches' Poll. The complete poll can be found here.
Methodist, the 11-time defending Division III champions, top the poll with 16 first-place votes and 519 total points, while Williams is third with the remaining first-place vote and totaled 466 points.
The Tigers, who won three tournaments in the fall, finished ahead of Methodist in the Charleston Southern Invitational and behind them in St. Mary's O'Brien National Invitational.
DePauw opens the spring season on March 20 with a dual match at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
The Tigers have appeared in nine consecutive NCAA Championships where they have finished in the top four seven times..
