MacBeth Named SCAC Softball Offensive Player of the Week

March 31, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw junior outfielder Rachel MacBeth has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Offensive Player of the Week. Her honor marks the third straight for the sixth-ranked Tigers.
MacBeth led the Tigers to a 5-1-1 record including two conference wins over Sewanee and victories over #21 Piedmont and #1 Emory. She batted .519 on the week (14-for-27) scoring seven runs and knocking in eight with a .593 slugging percentage.
MacBeth collected three hits each in three games against Piedmont, Emory and Sewanee. MacBeth went 5-for-7 in a doubleheader on the at Piedmont and 5-for-9 at Emory. MacBeth was also a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen bases.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 2, when they host Hope in a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
